I wouldn't say that nirvana is 'merely' a right-brained phenomenon, since that implies that the absence of the right-brain means the absence of nirvana; whereas the doctor's experience indicates that her experience of nirvana continued into her out-of-brain episode on the way to the hospital. I would agree, though, that the realization of nirvana in the body requires that the left-brain's activities be seen through and released.
