D.C. , The analogue that keeps coming to me is the change in Europe after Guttenberg.
I would love to hear someone who really knows some history think in that direction. Controlling the flow of information, whether by print, assembly, or electronically, seems again to be foundational in control of a population.
Exiting times indeed!
